Chief Chinedu Madubuko popularly known as Chico has empowered sixty (60) indigenes of Adazi-Ani community, Anaocha Local Government Area through his Zeph Care foundation.
The tricycle trucks were distributed yesterday to the beneficiaries during a mini ceremony held at Chico Ezeanichinechendo’s palatial residence in Adazi-Ani.
In his opening address before the distribution proper, the chairman of Zeph Care foundation, Adazi Ani chapter, Engineer Ikechukwu Okafor stated that they gathered to celebrate,” an Iroko in Adazi-Ani whose philanthropy knows no bounds. Today is one of those days of giving without seeking reward. This is the 4th year of this chapter of the foundation that has been funded by the donor Chief Chinedu Benson Madubuko- Ezeani Chinechendo.”
Engr Okafor informed the gathering that Chief Madubuko had funded Zeph Care foundation to the tune of N80m to use in empowering Adazi-Ani indigenes from the 45 council wards.
Said he, ” As recent as 10th August, 2024 he also brought home agricultural training programme and trained 90 persons from the 45 council wards on cassava planting and processing techniques. At the end of the training, the participants were given cassava seedlings , fertilizer, and N50, 000 stipend each to assist in the planting of the cassava.”
Furthermore, Chief Okafor stated that the 60 persons in the community and beyond whom will be gifted the Tricycle trucks will hopefully uplift themselves economically and also help others in the process.
” What a way of teaching someone how to fish instead of giving the person fish. We are here today to launch and distribute these Tricycles. It is our hope that this effort by this unassuming philanthropist will in no distant future make a visible difference in the lives of these beneficiaries.”
He called on the people to glorify God for the life of Ezeanichinechendo that God may continue blessing and enriching him in all his endeavors.
In his brief remarks, the Mayor/Chairman of Anaocha Local Government Area, Hon. Rome Ibekwe, Ezeugo Neni expressed how impressed he was with the initiative.
He said, the event was amazing and that he was overwhelmed seeing such massive empowerment that Chico was doing in Anaocha Local Government area for ndi Adazi Ani.
” What he is doing is giving people hope, he has a good heart, touching the lives of people and improving the economy of Anaocha LGA.
This is akuluo in action, exactly what Governor Soludo is preaching. I’m appealing to other Anaocha philanthropists to emulate this kind of thing and touch the lives of common people”, the Mayor said.
On his part, the regent, Chief Augustine Okeke,
Onowu Ohazulunye of Adazi-Ani thanked God for the gift of Chico Madubuko.
According to him, Chief Chico had built numerous roads in the thanked and prayed God to continue blessing him.
