Anambra State is rapidly progressing toward becoming a hub of modern infrastructure, reminiscent of Dubai and Taiwan, thanks to the ongoing high-quality road construction projects. This was stated by Engineer Emma Nwafor, Chairman of the Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Works and Infrastructure, during an inspection of several road projects across the state.
Leading a team on an oversight visit to projects such as the dualization of the Ekwulobia-Uga road, the Ajalli-Nawfija-Ufuma-Ogbunka road, and the Eziagu-Umunze bypass, Nwafor expressed satisfaction with the quality of work. He emphasized that under Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s leadership, Anambra is steadily transforming into a modern, well-connected state.
Nwafor noted that these road projects are critical to the state’s economic growth and will significantly alleviate traffic congestion. He lauded Governor Soludo for his dedication to infrastructure development, stating that his administration’s efforts are setting Anambra up as a model for other Nigerian states.
The committee also urged contractors to maintain high standards and ensure timely project completion, stressing the importance of delivering lasting benefits to the people of Anambra. Accompanying Nwafor on the visit were Honourable Patrick Udoba, Honourable Anayo Okpaleke, Honourable Golden Iloh, and other committee members.
